If you’ve been planing to make your way down, or up the east cost of Australia, Byron Bay is the place to stop by.
With it’s rather tiny city, but wonderful long, golden beaches, it’s perfect to catch some waves, chill at the beach, or go kayaking with dolphins. The kayanking wa a real adventure. We’ve been outin the ocean for a pretty long time, had later on a snack at a beach where we stopped by and have been provided with a lot of informations about the dolphins and the surroundings. If you go in the month from Juli to September you might be even lucky enough to see some whales out there. For more infos click here.
The very first impression I catched from this place was warmhearted, relaxed people, a city filled with hippy-souls. As soon as you get on the streets filled with all the souvenir shops that sell vintage clothes, dreamcatcher and rainbow inked tee’s you know what I mean. People going barefoot, wearing frayed skirts and boots, street musicians playing the guitar and singing beautiful songs.. I’m almost drifting away by just thinking about it.
Another thing is food. I’m honest, I’m a foody kind of person. Food is just something so wonderful to enjoy in life. Of course with moderation. And while traveling the food aspect is also one of my favorite ones. In Autralia lots of the fruits and veggies just have a lot more taste compared to the ones shipped to Switzerland. Despite the fact there’s in almost every city a Woolworths where you can buy some fresh food, I wouldn’t miss the opportunity to go and have some nice candle light dinner in one of the fancy restaurants in Byron Bay- Especially for the romantic ones, but also cause the atmosphere is just one of a kind.
